I know i sound a bit demanding (:P ) but i like to enjoy a warm and satisfying meal for dinner because that’s when my whole family eats together. Today i am putting Cauliflower to some great using it as mock chicken (if you like to call it that) for the famous General Tso’s chicken recipe.

- sesame seeds – 1 tsp
- ginger- 1 inch , grated
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- low sodium soy sauce – 1 tablespoon
- rice vinegar- 1 tsp (can also use balsamic vinegar / white vinegar)
- corn starch- 1 tsp
- pinch of salt (or as needed)
- ketchup – 1 tablespoon
- water – 1 tablespoon

Method
- Take a bowl and add the rice flour, corn starch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder. Mix well. Add water as needed and mix to form a paste. Coat the cauliflower florets with the paste.
- Pour the oil in a deep pan and heat the oil. Once hot, drop the cauliflower florets and fry till lightly golden brown. Remove and drain on an absorbent towel.

- Meanwhile, take a wok and add the oil (1 tablespoon). Bring to heat and once hot, add in the ginger and minced garlic. Fry for a couple of seconds. Next, add in the sauce mix and heat till it starts to boil. Shut the flame and add in the fried cauliflower. Combine gently.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onions on top. Serve on a bed of rice or noodles.
Now that is one neat recipe ! Cauliflowers are delicious as it is but when you fry them up, these become crispy delicious treats. I like to add in some garlic powder in the coating and that makes a whole of difference when you prepare this dish. The sauce is a perfect mix of salty, sweet, sour and tangy which makes this dish yummilicous ! Give it a go
